Weekly update #1


Hi everyone!
I am actively working on the first public Demo, and this is what was achieved during this week:


  • Dressed the three remaining scenes. No more green and brown blocks! I would say, the level art is basically ready. There are only few minor visual problems, like texture corners appearing here and there. And of course, a lot of minor details can still be added to make the world even more vivid and add more life to the scenes.
  • Significantly reworked the final boss fight, making it more versatile and challenging, but still fair, with clear action patterns
  • Added the introductory screen, showing the player a bit of context and motivation to move forward
  • Added the Ending Screen, rewarding the player with some warm words, and then returning to the main screen. So, from this point, this Demo can be officially finished, 
  • Wrote a musical theme for the main menu
  • Fixed a lot of bugs
  • Ah, by the way, the title of the game will be changed as well. Since the concept of the game has changed drastically since the development was started 1+ year ago, the "Grim Saviour" name does not fit anymore (perhaps I will tell about the initial). The new working name: MONGREL STORY

That's all for now! I will try to keep the tempo and post updates every week, at least until the first public version is released.
