Introduction


Hi everyone!
Since last year I have been developed my own game, and now it may be a good time to start telling the world about it in this devlog!

This is a 2D platformer/metroidvania about a rat-tailed and bat-winged creature, exploring the perilous world, trying to solve the mystery of his origin.

In this game I'm trying to keep balance between exploration, platforming and combat, not forgetting about the atmosphere.


In the following weeks I'm planning to roll out the first pre-alpha of the Demo, and I really hope to receive honest feedback from players and fellow gamedevs.

It will include:

  • introduction to the basic game mechanics: wall/ceiling climbing, gliding, flapping, tail fight;
  • ~20-30 minutes of gameplay;
  • three biomes to explore (mountains, caves, fortress ruins)
  • four types of enemies
  • two boss fights (1 mini, 1 real) 
  • 1 NPC with one quest

This pre-alpha is almost ready to be shown, but there's still some major things to be done:

  • Decorate three more scenes - so far they are just comprised of bare blocks
  • Replace all the proprietary assets I used for prototyping with original/free/paid ones
  • Rework some scenes for better narrative
